Calm Before the Storm

Yesterday, we spent a lovely day in one of our favorite places, 

Manitou Springs, 

with two of our favorite people, 

Mark and George.  

The weather was so nice.  We sat on a couple of patios,

enjoyed a few cocktails, 

ate some yummy food, 

and had some delicious treats from the local candy shop.

We had some toffee, black licorice, extra large smarties, and salted nut fudge.

YUMMY!!!!

We laughed quite a bit, too. :)

The perfect calm before the storm of work I have this week.

It's official...

...the end of the summer is quickly approaching.  

As fall comes into view, I am getting busier and busier.  Yay!  I was able to get some relax time in over the holiday.  How 'bout you?

So far, so FUN!!

What a great weekend I'm having, so far.  Lots o' fun and lots o' friends!!!  Friday night, we went to my friend, Ashley's opening...

She is such an insanely talented artist.  I am so proud to have one of her pieces hanging in my living room.  Here's a few more pics from the evening's festivities...

And of course, we went to Sandi Calistro's opening, where I finally got to meet her.  I was completely starstruck. All of her pieces just BLEW ME AWAY!!  

I need to own one.

Saturday night was another fun party at my dear friend, Kris's house.  It was so great to have so many of my good friends at the same place, at the same time.  

It was sooooooo much fun!  Maybe a little too fun. :)

I'm sure I'll have lots more weekend fun to share with you very soon!

Her work MOVES me...

I'm talking about local artist, Sandi Calistro...

Tonight, she has an opening at the Black 
Book Gallery at 555 Santa Fe.

I can't wait to go.  Her art is BEAUTIFUL, and each one of her pieces moves me in a different way.

 It can be dark, and yet, sweet at the same time.

I am enjoying a nice, hot, skinny vanilla latte before I head off for a day of work, work, work!

Today, I will be helping out at the Pink Attic Cat in Olde Town Littleton.  Stop by and say "HI!"  After that, I will be up to my EARS in felt!  I have orders to fill, product to make, and people to please!
