Ghost of Fern and Sprout past...

I guess I didn't realize what a productive year it was for Fern and Sprout.

Even with everything that happened along with putting on a summer market, (Lucky Pearl Bazaar) and taking a break from Fern and Sprout during those summer months, I still managed to come up with some new designs and have a fantastic market season.

Phew.

As I looked back thru my photos to put this mosaic together, I am very pleased with the way my business went last year.  I downsized a little, and invested in QUALITY rather than QUANTITY.  I hope to continue that this year.

For all of you who have supported me in the last year, either by reading this blog, shopping my booth at a show, helping me prepare for a show, helping me during a show, allowing me to be a vendor at your show, ordering my product for your shop, or simply following me on Twitter or Facebook...
 I want to say THANK YOU.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Jenna!

Happy birthday to one of my dearest friends, Jenna.

It's the big 4-0 and I must say...it looks GOOD on her!

We spent the morning at one of my favorite breakfast spots, JELLY.

It is so cute and the food is DEEEEEELISH.

What a HaPpY place to celebrate a birthday!

We had a delightful time, and we looooooooooooooooved our server!

I presented Jenna with some of my new "ittie bitties," in the colors of her wedding, which is also coming up SOON!  She is marrying the most WONDERFUL man.

I've known Jenna for TWENTY years now.  Wow.  It's amazing to look back at a friendship like ours.  We have so much history and we have shared so many good times and a few bad times.

I don't know what I would do without her over the last two months.  She has listened to me cry and vent and rant and rave, all the while making me laugh like only SHE can. She's one of the funniest, most talented and inspiring people I know.

Happy birthday to you, "Silly Slug!"

Ittie Bitties

Bigsby and I spent the day in the studio.  I made a bed for him out of this little Coca Cola box.  He loved it.

  

I've had a rough couple of days so it took me a while to get the "creative juices" flowing.  

Once I started, I couldn't stop...

 and boy, did I have fun!

I am calling them "ittie bitties."

They are little pieces of Fern and Sprout flare that will brighten up any back-to-school outfit, or fall blazer.

And of course, you can wear them in your hair 

and on your shoes, too. 

They kinda remind me of vintage enamel pins (only made of felt.)

Each piece is only about 1/2 - 2 inches wide.

I want to eat them like CANDY!
