Holiday Recap

The NEW YEAR is almost upon us!!!  Wow!

I can't believe we've spent almost the entire month without any snow.  It's certainly coming down, this evening.

The snow began today, just after I met with my dear friend, Slug (Jenna,) for our annual Christmas celebration at The Market on Larimer Street.

We had a lovely breakfast and then we did some shopping. (We got these matching hoodies with our "Groupons.")

As I sit here, watching the snow fall, I can't believe how December has flown by in a WHIRLWIND!

Here's a small recap of my month, in photos...

I am looking forward to sharing a quiet New Year's Eve with some friends, and a nice New Year's Day brunch.
What are your plans?

I have so much to share in the days to come.  I will be back to my regular blogging schedule with lots o' goodies, and some creative inspiration to feed your soul.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

I love doing nothing.

Ever since the birthday party, my dudes have been begging me to take them skating again.
So - last night, we went.  So much fun!

After working so much, it's nice to spend some down-time with my monkeys.
Tonight, we made a gingerbread house.   And, now we are watching The Grinch.
Good times!   Tomorrow is Christmas Eve!!!  Yippee!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

2 more days 'til Christmas!

Are you enjoying the season?  I am!

Here are a few portraits by the tree,
from Kevin and Natalie's "Ugly Christmas Sweater Party," last Friday.
These are hilarious...

Only 2 more days 'til Christmas, and I still have sooooooooooooo many presents to make!
Back to work, like the little elf that I am.  :)

Weekend recap...

Here comes Santa Claus!
Napoleon was not happy about slipping into his Santa suit, but he did leave it on long enough for me to get this shot of him.

Doesn't he just look pathetically adorable?!?

This weekend was filled with holiday cheer.  We had something to do, every single night!
Boy, did we have fun!

Let's start with Thursday...
My friend, Amy - at Pink Attic Cat, had a delightful luncheon for all of her friends.  She pampered us with delicious food, (like the cupcakes you see in the pic,) and then pampered us all with lovely gifts, like this BEEEEEEEEEEAUUUUUUUUUUUTIFUL wall hanging she gave me...
We had a fantastic time!

Then, Thursday evening...

"Uncle" Jef's birthday party at The Rackhouse...
what a blast!

Happy birthday, Jefrey!

Friday...
I spent the day helping my friends, Natalie and Kevin prepare for their
Ugly Christmas Sweater Party.
I decked the halls with sparkly balls and 21st century mistletoe!
Time to start the festivities, and get our CHEEEEEEEZE on!!!

The lovely hosts in their cheeeezy get-ups!

More cheeze from guests, (the neck thing was on purpose, btw. :)
We were plenty cheezeball...

(No - I'm not really pregnant - just for the party ;)

More pics to come from that party...

On Saturday night, we had a Christmas light drive-by!!

Me, Scott, Kimmy, Jef, and Mark (George met up with us later,) piled in the car with some Christmas cookies and hot chocolate, ready to see some holiday illumination!

Here are a few shots of the fun we had that night...

We just HAD to go to the Kloewers.  It has become a Christmas tradition.  If you haven't been, you must check it out.  Take Belleview west to Elati and go North on Elati.  You can't miss it.
Lights, trains, creepy dolls, snowmen, and of course, mistletoe - there's something for EVERYONE.

Our last stop of the night was at Scott's house...you wouldn't believe his light display...

I tried to download a video, but it wouldn't work.  I'll try again, soon.

It was such a busy weekend.  Sunday evening was a family get-together, but I failed to bring out my camera.  That's sooooooo not like me.  I think I was a little too tired from all the other weekend festivities.

What kind of plans do you have for the holidays?   I would love to know some of your holiday traditions.  I hope you are enjoying the season as much as I am!

My monkeys are getting really excited for Christmas!
(So am I.)

I have a few surprises up my sleeve.
Stay tuned. :)

Winter Wonderland

Now that my holiday shows are over,
I have time to enjoy our living room, which is our own personal winter wonderland!

We took a little time last weekend, to transform our living space.
I suppose I get a little TOO into decorating for the season.
I just can't help it.

You may call me "Mrs. Christmas," if you like.  :)
We have a white Christmas tree, this year...(I've been wanting one for the last couple of years.)

...and a vintage Christmas village...

...and some vintage kissing angels...

...a collection of light-up snowmen...
...a collection of "scary" snowmen by one of my favorite artists, Cindy Haberman.

..."Mr. Sparkle," the deer...

...and some crafty trees made out of old sheet music and magazines by me and my friend, Slug.

Yep, it's quite a warm, cozy, sparkly world in here.
Thanks for stopping by!
Merry Christmas, everyone!
