Happy Anniversary!!

I am so excited to be a guest blogger on Lost in the Attic with Cupcakes, this week. As I was trying to figure out what to write about, I realized...

I have been blogging for a WHOLE YEAR!! Wow!! An entire year of blogging about my crazy, whacky, kooky, stressful, amazing life! An entire year of being absolutely amazed and inspired by other bloggers. An entire year of Fern and Sprout felt and fancy!

There was a beautiful sunset this evening to celebrate the occasion!

I was looking back thru the archives and it's so fun to see how my work and blog has changed over the year.

Here's some F and S - kickin' it old skooooooooool...

How delightful!

Yep - a lot has changed: my home (twice,) my studio (twice,)

my pup, my hair, my computer, and not to mention my MONKEYS ARE GROWING UP!!! Thanks for sticking with me, this year. I hope the next one gets even better! Thank you for inspiring me!! And to all of you who come out to the shops and the shows - thank you for supporting me. Love to you, friends!

Felt meets Tulle

It's a match made in Heaven. Why didn't I think of this before? Well, I actually did, but I had to work on the formula. I think I've come up with pretty good combination. What do you think?

Check out this new app I downloaded for my phone...

Retro Camera - so cool. You can choose between four different camera styles. Did I say "so cool?"

Cute vintage boxes of candy cigarettes that travelled hundreds of miles to see me

I don't think I can give up the nostalgia of my Polaroid camera, but this sure is fun!!

Oh...did I mention we have a new Airstream? More pics coming soon!

:) Happy evening to you all!

Sunny Sunday

I ate way too much this weekend. (I probably drank a little too much, as well.) A good friend of mine had a birthday, and we went to see her show, "Leading Ladies," at the Vintage Theater. It was so funny and so well done, I would put it in my top five shows I've ever seen! Brava, Miss Mae!!!

Another good friend came in to town from New Jersey to surprise Miss Mae. I can't wait to hang out like old times, Liser!!

Boy, did we have fun!!

The new tulle cluster fancy headband from Fern and Sprout...(Penelope wears it so well!)

So classy...

Tulle and peacock "FASCINATOR"

Pink satin hat flower:

Here's a piece I made for prom. I can't wait to see how she looked in it!

In preparation for spring, I added a few pieces to my studio to brighten it up a bit. Whadayathink?
...a vintage spool holder I got from "Pink Attic Cat."

...an old soda bin that I got for Mother's Day. I hung it on the wall as a shadow box.

...a vintage pink flamingo named "Kitty."

...flowers and a cute little flower pot for them. A nice way to say "WELCOME!"

...a new ice cream table and chairs, so I can work or eat lunch outside. Makes me sooooooooo happy!!

I am bracing myself for an "all work and no play" week. Hopefully, it won't make me too dull. :) I have TWO trunk shows coming up this weekend! I will let you know where and when, in my next post. Have a delightful week!!

Forgive me...

My favorite show is over.

I don't care who he picked. Just bummed it's over. Sigh. Bummer. Can't wait for the Bachelorette. Forgive me. I know it's cheezeball. It's such a guilty pleasure for me, in the midst of much busy-ness and stress.

For the past three days, I have been selling my line in a showroom at the Denver Merchandise Mart. My feet hurt. I had TWO days to put together a line sheet. With the help of my friend, Darci, I got 'er done. It looks GOOD, too. Part of me feels like I'm selling my soul. But part of me feels like I'm getting my big break. I don't know how to handle the wonderful response I've been getting. I will be selling my designs in KS, UT, WY, PA, etc. Exciting, yet scary!! I DO know I'm sooooooooooooooooooooo grateful to my friend, Fawn, for giving me this opportunity to shine. Thank you, Fawn!

Yep, felt is not goin' no where! It's my staple. So glad to know that. I'm surprised at how well my tulle pieces are doing at this show. I'll give you a preview very soon! More pics of the showroom, tomorrow!

Love to all who are supporting me. And to one special friend...glad you are back...hope you and all of your family are feeling better. I've been praying for you. Love you!!!!
